Warranty

All products sold and supplied by Coast Pumps are covered by a 12 months warranty from sale date only. Any advertised extended warranty periods beyond 12 months are the manufacturers voluntary warranty periods, and they should be contacted directly beyond 12 months. Where possible Coast Pumps will assist with the warranty process.

All products sold by Coast Pumps have a "dead on arrival" (DOA) warranty. This means that if the product is damaged during delivery we must be contacted within seven (7) days of receipt of the goods and a claim is made within 31 days from the delivery date, Coast Pumps will replace or repair the product at our discretion and our cost. If Coast Pumps has no further stock of the item and it cannot be repaired Coast Pumps will replace it with a similar product or offer you a full refund.

No warranties will be processed for goods and or services including onsite warranty claims for goods and or services, if your account is in arrears. Your account must be in good order before we will assist with processing your warranty claim.

Manufacturers Voluntary Warranty

Products supplied by Coast Pumps may be covered by a Manufacturers Voluntary Warranty. In some circumstances a Manufacturers Voluntary Warranty will extend the normal 12 months warranty period. We recommend in the first instance to contact the manufacturer. The terms and conditions of such warranties are beyond our control and it is your choice whether to use such warranties. Where possible the time of such warranty will be shown on our website.

For some products it may be more efficient for you to contact the manufacturer rather than us. A manufacturers warranty does not detract from your statutory rights.

Exceptions

Coast Pumps does not provide a refund, credit or exchange if you have:
Damaged the product by using it in a way it was not meant to be used,
had a defect drawn to your attention before you purchased the product, for example, when products are clearly labelled as seconds or faulty,
You do not notify us within seven (7) days after delivery

Returns/Refund Policy

General Rules

The Buyer shall inspect the Goods on delivery and shall within three (3) days of delivery notify Coast Pumps of any alleged defect, shortage in quantity, damage or failure to comply with the description or quote. If the Buyer fails to comply with these provisions, the Goods shall be conclusively presumed to be in accordance with the terms and conditions and free from any defect or damage. In the case of the incorrect goods being purchased there will be a 10% restocking fee.

We do not offer refunds if you change your mind. Please ensure you make your selections carefully.

Unopened Merchandise
If a return has been approved you may return any "unopened" products and accessories within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. Simply return the item to us, shipping prepaid & using the most convenient shipping method available to you. Some products include free shipping, so if you return one of these products our actual outbound shipping costs will be deducted from your return refund.
Opened Merchandise
Opened products and accessories can be returned within 30 days of delivery, but will be subject to a 25% restocking fee to cover testing, cleaning and repackaging expenses. Simply return the item to us, shipping prepaid & using the most convenient shipping method available to you. Some products include free shipping, so if you return one of these products our actual outbound shipping costs will be deducted from your return refund. Opened returns must be in saleable condition with original materials and packaging.

There are no returns allowed for products which have been specially ordered for you and drop shipped by the manufacturer. These items are not routinely stocked at our warehouse and therefore cannot be returned.

An order that has shipped cannot be cancelled. If you refuse an order, it will then fall under our standard returns policy.

You must take the time to inspect the goods before you sign the delivery receipt from the carrier. If you sign the delivery receipt without inspecting the shipment you will be responsible for filing a freight claim and arranging for a repair or return of the damaged goods. Concealed damage claims must be reported immediately.

On occasion, the outer carton may look damaged, but the product inside the box is perfectly fine. If you suspect concealed damage, notate "Possible Freight Damage" on the delivery receipt while the driver is present. This way, if you discover later that the product is damaged, the remedy of a freight claim is less of a hassle.

Do not sign for damaged products. If your product arrives damaged, please (a) REFUSE DELIVERY and (b) Call Us Immediately so we can process the appropriate claims and coordinate an exchange for you.

Defective Products

We encourage you to test your product within three (3) days of receipt so we can quickly remedy any mechanical problems. If you think your product is defective, don't worry. In most cases, it's a simple issue that can be resolved over the phone. You are also welcome to contact the manufacturer's customer service departments. They have expert technicians to help solve your issue. Please have your model number and serial number available for fastest service.
